Once again, even before delving into the core product and pulling on our tool belt we’d discovered ways to potentially reduce our energy usage by up to 50%.
We get a lesson behind the theory of magnetic energy. For those who have a healthy grasp on physics and electronics, this part may prove elementary reading, but we enjoyed the analogies the ebook provided and appreciated being given an ‘aha!’ moment so early into the process. It’s dumbed down science to be sure, but it made sense and got us excited about the project, and we think making it all very user friendly counts for a lot. In summary, magnetic energy harnesses the naturally occurring forces of attraction and repulsion between magnets to create kinetic energy and utilities it to drive an electric generator. The result? The diagrams don’t just show you how each stage of the process is supposed to fit together, but how each separate part of each process needs to be constructed.
If the ‘paint by numbers’ instructions aren’t enough to keep you on track, there are 14 video’s which literally take you by the hand and guide you through the more important stages of construction. Did we mention how much we love video’s? Anything that lets us create by mimicry alone gets a big thumbs up.
The Nitty Gritty
Energy 4 Living have 3 core essential requirements for a product like this to rate highly.
- Will we have all the gear we need to do it.
- Will we be told exactly what parts are required.
- Will we be given enough detail to construct it so that it works.
We’ve already seen that the detail given in the instruction manual and the video series easily qualifies item 3. Now, this generator is a little more labor intensive than some of the alternative smaller magnet generators. For this reason in addition to a solder iron and amp meter, you’re also going to need an angle grinder, and a welder. Everything else you require is likely to be in any self respecting handyman’s toolkit, but you can expect construction time to be longer than for less comprehensive magnet generators.

Its clear that a great deal of forethought and effort has gone into providing the required level of detail, and the presenters almost seem anxious to ensure you have all the information at your disposal to make it happen.
Having read the manual and seen the video’s, we weren’t left with a sense of concern that we wouldn’t be able to do it, but were instead looking forward to tackling it head on. We know from past experience that gaining that sense of confidence and know-how can be the difference between people who purchase a product like Magnets 4 Energy leaving it to gather dust on their hard drive, and actually taking action and seeing results.
